Form for setting up and administering courses

If you are an administrator of the present quizserver you can register a new course together with its associated instructor.
For this purpose you can have a list of currently registered quiz authors and courses presented.
In addition to registering the course instructor you can register the course participants.
Or you can leave the registration of course participants to the course instructor.
You can change the password for the course instructor.
You can remove a course together with all quizzes and other material associated with that course.
Furthermore you can send a common message to all quiz authors and course instructors by e-mail.
Finally you can inspect and modify a log file concerning administration of the present quiz server.

Registration of a new course:

Enter the following information in the entry fields below:

Then click the button 'Register this course'.

Name of new course (at least 3 letters, digits, underscore, hyphen, the format d*QC or d*QC- with d* being a sequence of digits is reserved for guest authors):
Password for new course (6 to 12 non-blanks)

E-mail address of course (instructor) #

Leave the following two entry fields empty unless you want material (HTML pages, image files et cetera) produced by the course instructor placed in particular directories, e.g. under a home directory allocated to the author. The directories must already exist and they must have been made accessible for reading, writing and searching (rwx) by the server. For the non-public directory give access only to author (owner) and server. State full path and name in entry fields.

Enter new e-mail address for a course:

Fill-in the name and new address for the course.
Consider clicking the button for commentary from quiz answerer and the button concerning course participant registration. #
Then click the button labelled: Change e-mail address.

Enter new password for a course:

Enter course name and new password. Then click button 'Replace password'.

Enter course name, then click button 'Remove course'.
Notice that the process cannot be reversed (once done all files are lost).

Enter message in field below (include any e-mail address, if appropriate) and click button:


Creation of an author or a course, modification of an e-mail address, removal of an author and sending a message to all authors are logged to a file. Via the button below you can inspect and modify the file. You can, for example, add your own comments to the log.
